My name is Matthew Bound and as a professional footballer I always enjoyed the fitness element of training although when I was playing the use of sports science didn't really exist. The thought process was very much 'run until you can't run anymore, and eat pasta to refuel!'
Nowadays thankfully fitness and wellbeing has moved on and fitness can be very much a personal, or group experience depending on YOU as the client would prefer.
Following retirement from football I was persuaded to start running marathons which then progressed to ultras, which then lead to other fitness challenges which all increased my enthusiasm for fitness and exploration in general, whether it be physical or mental. ​​

I am an ambassador for The Ben Saunders Foundation which is a children's and young adults cancer charity and many of the challenges below were completed to raise awareness of the fantastic work they do.

Tenerife Bluetrail Ultra (105km South to North)
Race to the Stones Ultra (102km)
Arctic Trek (4 day trek in the Arctic Circle)
Valencia, London, Rome marathons
